Patricia learned real estate at her father’s side as a child, helping him buy, renovate and sell homes in Southern California. She learned negotiation the same way: by watching it done well.

Today she brings a background in architecture and design to every listing. She has renovated properties throughout the Bay Area for clients and for her own portfolio, and she knows which improvements buyers will pay for and which they won’t. That judgment, paired with a clear go-to-market plan for each home, is why her listings consistently draw strong offers quickly.

For buyers, the same experience helps answer the harder questions: which home, why, and what it could become.

Away from work, Patricia cooks, tends an edible garden, hosts dinners, and walks the neighborhood with her Labrador and her husband, Ben.

Kalara came to real estate from technology. She holds degrees in economics and international business from NYU’s Stern School of Business, and she spent her career building digital businesses, from leading growth at the San Francisco market research platform mindswarms to founding an online golf tee time platform that, after two acquisitions, became the foundation of Comcast’s golfnow.com.

She brings that background to how homes are priced and marketed, turning market data into clear, well-designed analysis. Sellers can see why a price makes sense, and buyers can see how a home compares.

She has lived in San Francisco and Marin since 2002 and is co-founder of Above Category, the Sausalito cycling company. She is multicultural (U.S. and Guatemala), and when she isn’t working she hikes, swims, runs, gardens, and takes cooking lessons in Patricia’s kitchen.
